A new week has turned in Australia. Still amazing though. I will be going to Sydney this week. yay!
I have been to the beach quite often. It is always beautiful here.
We went the other day to this overlook and sat out on the huge rocks and watched the sunset, the waves would crash and just come close enough not to get you wet. It was huge. I was sitting there thinking, how beautiful are You God, I am about to fall right in love with You all over again. It was a moment. Then we left.
Yesterday I led and spoke at Allan's parents church here in Ballina. It was truly excellent. The people responded so well, and again God covered my back.
After church, the whole church went and had lunch at the beach park and then we all hit the waves. How's that for a Sunday afternoon. It was great. So relaxing and carefree. I AM in the right country.
We came back to their apartment, and I had a nap on our day of rest. After that Jocelyn fixed an amazing dinner for Allan's birthday. We had Prawn salad(that's SHrimp just bigger) and Shepherd's Pie, which is a traditional Australian dish that is amazing. AMAZING, have I used that word to descride anything yet? It is ground beef with bacon, garlic, red bell pepper, onions, green olives, tomato sauce and sun dried tomatoes, cooked and topped with cheese, then topped with slendid mashed potatoes and more cheese. YES! It is like the best of hamburgers, pizza, and home cooking all in one. I think there is some left in the fridge.
Despite the different sayings and twist on things I am making you people proud. It is really funny to think that most americans want to come here and most Australians want to come there. Not all but most.
Below is my message outline from yesterday. I felt like it may be good to share. Read it.
God bless
Beginning and End
Finding your life’s satisfaction in Christ(part1)
-In Him we live, and move, and have our being(acts 17:28).
-Jesus is the beginning of new works, new promises, a new heart
-He is the satisfaction of every good desire that is in our heart.
-Every desire , and every want should lead us to this fact.
-Jesus is not the means to a greater end for ourselves.
-He is not the vehicle by which we accomplish our goals. He is the start and finish of His will and work in our life.
-Hebrews 12: 2 Looking to Him, the author and finisher of our faith we are also compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, who have believed and done the same.
-He is the beginning and end of our existence.
-Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights with who is no shadow of turning(James 1:17).
-He will not allow an end that is not Him.
-God will give us something that does not lead us to finding Him at the end of that gift. Ex.
- Every good thing is in Him and through Him.
-He has designed us to find Him at the end of every desire.
-Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart(Psalm 37:4).
-It’s not about finding our hearts desire. It’s about finding Him who is our heart’s desire.
-He is our desire waiting at the end of every rainbow in our life.
-We shouldn’t look for a “pot of gold” at the end of a dream or desire.
-If we are focused on Him as being our heart’s desire, then our desire is fulfilled in Him and with Him before we even start something.
-This is a focused desire, to find our end in Him, not a mere statement of belief that He is our desire.
-Every desire that we own should cause us to love Him more, worship Him more, and know Him more.
-He starts the desire and we find it’s culmination in Him.
-It begins, increases, and ends in Him.
-I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty(Rev. 1:8).
-He is the ultimate accomplishment of all our godly dreams, not just a way to see it happen.
-He is the beginning of every good work, the means by which it happens, and the completion of that work.
-We can set our hearts on a godly goal, we can use God’s provision and strength to accomplish it and still find ourselves empty at the end of that goal because we weren’t doing it with Him as an end. He was merely a way to bring it about for us.
-We find ourselves disappointed and sorrowful because we are seeking peace in a greater end for ourselves(and not Christ as an end).
-We are commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, and soul. Not the blessings or accomplishments that He gives.
-Align our hearts with this end, that He is our End.
-You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusts in Thee(Is. 26:3).
-Sometimes we continue to seek peace in our blessed circumstances and temporal gifts, but we will never find it until we realize that those things are not God’s end for us.
-Heaven is not even God’s end for us
-His face will far outshine any splendor or joy that heavens gives.
-He is our beginning and our end. HIM.
-In Him we live, and move, and have our being(acts 17:28).
-which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty(Rev. 1:8).
-the beginning, the means, the end.
-the start, the middle, the finish.
-In Deut. 32, it talks about the Lord dividing to the nations their inheritance, and giving the sons of Adam their inheritance. But, in verse 9 it says:
-For the Lord’s portion is His people, and Jacob is the portion of His inheritance.
-Everything God has given, and sacrificed has been with us as His desire.
-We are His focused end.
-No wonder that everything seems to lead us back to Him.
-When we are at a stand still, He is our beginning.
-When we are in the middle of a vision, He is our means and our strength.
-When we are blessed enough to see His promises and visions fulfilled in our lives, He is there on the other end of that vision or promise to show us more of Himself.
-When we have come to our end, and things are not at all what we had hoped or dreamed, He is our beginning again.
-Is He your focused end?
-Is He your life’s satisfaction?
